As Head of Operations for our integrated market access team, Mike Blackney leads the development and execution of operational strategy, ensuring first-class deliverables and outstanding client satisfaction. With over 15 years of experience in market access and pricing, Mike has supported many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies on key access-based projects. His background includes senior roles at Covance Market Access and earlier experience as a Research Scientist, where he applied scientific expertise to shape effective pharmaceutical strategies.

Mike has directed global strategic and tactical projects across pharma, biotech, and medical device sectors, including access and launch planning for seven of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies. His work spans pricing, landscape assessments, and economic modeling, with therapeutic area experience in oncology, neurology (including multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s), diabetes, autoimmune and respiratory diseases, cardiovascular, women’s health, ophthalmology, infectious diseases, and orphan/ultra-orphan conditions.

He earned a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in Molecular Biochemistry from the University of Southampton.
