Hayes MacArthur is the Chief People Officer at Herspiegel. As part of the firm’s leadership team, he focuses on talent and operational strategy, and excellence.
Hayes has nearly 30 years of human resources and consulting experience. He has extensive experience in strategy development, organization effectiveness, and human resources operations. Additional areas of focus include organizational effectiveness, benefits strategy, talent management, incentives & rewards, building colleague engagement, and M&A growth. Prior to joining the Herspiegel team, Hayes was a Partner with a large global professional services firm and Regional Manager of Human Resources for a Big 4 consulting firm’s east coast offices. He also served as a human resources professional with a Fortune 100 company and the New Jersey Department of Labor.
Hayes is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) local and national chapters, the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA), and various professional human resources advisory groups. In addition, he is active in the NJ, PA, and NY human resources and business community and is a frequent speaker on human resources topics. He earned the Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) in 2012 and more recently the SHRM Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation. Hayes holds a B.S. in both Business Management and Organizational Behavior from Rider University and an M.H.R.M. from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and Labor Relations.
