Dr. Sureka Gattu is an experienced biotech professional with expertise in regulatory strategy, market access, medical affairs, and product development. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she studied the relationship between diet, microbiota, and immunity.

She combines her scientific expertise with her business acumen to help companies navigate complex regulatory landscapes and bring innovative therapies to market. She founded Iyalisai Biotech Consulting to support pre-commercial stage companies with effective evidence generation strategies, regulatory submissions, and payer marketing.

During her tenure at Perspectum, she led campaigns to secure an appropriate CMS payment rate for AI-driven software as a medical device (SaMD). At Reata Pharmaceuticals, she supported the company’s first drug launch, through RWE generation, NDA submissions, and payer marketing efforts. She has experience working with academic institutions to support in- and out-licensing agreements.
